All Online Students
Online Students I realize there is a time frame of getting your work completed, especially the first week; all the tests for the first week will be available from...
Welcome to Albany Tech’s Fire and Arson Investigation course. You will find the course both rewarding and challenging. Because this is an online course, our method of communicating with each other is often through email. When I receive a request or inquiry from you by email, you should expect a return email within 24 hours; as well as I will expect the same promptness from each of you. However, I do not check my emails on the weekends, so if you send an email after 5:00 PM Friday, you should expect a return on the following Monday. For online courses you are required to follow the instruction you receive from the college to CONFIRM ATTENDANCE.
Each week your assignments will be posted at the elearn site http://elearn.albanytech.edu/dlaye_fsc270 – under the heading of COURSE ASSIGNMENTS. The Course Syllabus, Course Standard Guide, and Projected Learning Schedule can be located in COURSE INFORMATION; these should be downloaded and printed out the first week. The required text books are listed in the Course Syllabus and available at the College Bookstore.
Required weekly Tests should be submitted as instructed, located at http://gvtc.angellearning.com/ – under the heading of COURSE ASSIGNMENTS/TESTS & QUIZZES.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Eligibility for NPQ Fire Officer I Certification requires a fire investigation, under the guidance of an approved and certified evaluator. The evaluator will grade you (Pass or Fail) in accordance to the requirements of NPQ Fire Officer I and II Skill Sheets. It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements with the evaluator and schedule an investigation.
